Registration FAQ

Q. What is my username?
A. Your username is your email address.
Q. What is my password? If forgotten, how do I change my password?
A. When you registered you were asked to create a unique password. This password will allow you to access secured areas on the SunGard Summit 2010 website. If you forget your password use the “Forgot Password” link to have it emailed to you.
Q. What do I need to do if I am replacing someone who has already registered for the conference?
A. Substitutions can be processed online for any “PAID IN FULL” registrant from the same institution. There is a $50 substitution fee which must be paid via credit card at the time the substitution is processed.
Q. How do I cancel a registration?
A. All cancellations need to be requested in writing by sending an email to summit@sungardhe.com. Refunds are processed after the conference with the exception of credit card payments. Note there are NO refunds on cancellations received after February 19, 2010. Registration fees paid via credit card will be refunded (minus the $50 processing fee) at the time the cancellation is received as long as the cancellation request was made within 120 days of the original payment. These refunds will be issued via check after the conference. Canceling your conference registration does NOT cancel your hotel. How to cancel a hotel reservation is listed below.
Q. How do I know if I’ve completed my registration?
A. When you register you will receive an email confirmation including your password and an invoice (as 2 separate emails).

Q. May I bring a guest?
A. Conference attendance is limited to SunGard Higher Education customers, employees, Collaborative members, and guests invited by SunGard Higher Education. You may, however, invite a guest (or guests) to attend the Tuesday April 13 evening event. Guest registration will open in on/around February 1, 2010. The guest fee is to be determined, the event hasn’t been finalized yet.
Q. How do I register my guest?
A. You must register your guest(s) and purchase their event tickets prior to the conference. Guest registration will be available online on/around February 1, 2010. Just go to the Add a Guest page under Registration. All guests must be registered in advance. No on-site registration will be available.
Q. What is the fee for my guest to attend the conference event on Tuesday, April 13?
A. The guest registration fee is undetermined at this time, the event is still being finalized. Guests must be over 16 years old.
Q. How do I pay for my guest(s) registration fee(s) and what credit cards are accepted?
A. Full payment, via credit card only, will be required at the time you register your guest(s). We accept Visa, MasterCard, and American Express.
Q. What are the hotel rates at the conference hotels?
A. Hotel rates range from $170 per night to $279 per night. More detailed information can be found on the Registration,Hotel & Travel page.
Q. How do I make a hotel reservation?
A. Hotel reservations for SunGard Summit must be made through ConferenceDirect, the conference’s exclusive housing service, via the Summit website in order for you to receive the conference rate. You may book online, over the phone, or via fax or mail. A valid credit card is required to secure each reservation. More detailed information can be found on the Hotel & Travel page. You must be registered for the conference in order to make a hotel reservation.
Q. Can I call the hotel directly to make a reservation?
A. No, the conference hotels will not accept SunGard Summit reservations directly.
Q. If paying for my hotel by check, where should I send the check?
A. Hotel payments should NOT be sent to SunGard Higher Education. Hotel payments made by check need to be sent and payable to:

Q. When should I make my hotel reservation?
A. We stress the importance of making your reservations early so that you have the best chance of being accommodated in the hotel of your choice for the days you require. If you make your hotel reservation online immediately after registering you will receive a $50.00 discount off of your registration fee. You must complete your registration for SunGard Summit or Executive Summit prior to booking your conference hotel.
Q. I need to change/cancel my hotel reservation, what do I need to do?
A. Under Hotel & Travel there will be a link to review, modify, and/or delete your existing hotel reservation. In order to update information, simply login (using your last name and acknowledgement number) and click the appropriate hotel link. When you complete your updates, close the window to return to the SunGard Summit website.
Q. Will there be shuttle service among conference hotels and the Moscone Convention Center?
A. Not all hotels will have shuttle service. Please see the Hotel Information page of the website for specific shuttle information on each official hotel being used.
