General Conference FAQ
Q. What is SunGard Summit?
A. SunGard Summit is the annual conference for SunGard Higher Education customers.
Q. Who should attend the conference?
A. SunGard Summit is a customer-focused event. We strongly encourage all customers from organizations with current maintenance agreements to attend. The program offers a wide range of track offerings that ensure learning for all levels of participants.
Q. When does the conference begin?
A. The conference opens on Sunday, April 11. To view the conference schedule, take a look at the Conference-At-A-Glance.
Q. When can I register?
A. You can register and make your hotel arrangements via the SunGard Summit website on or about the end of September/beginning of October.
Q. What does it cost to attend?
A. There are two conference registration packages from which you can choose. For more details, please see the Conference Fees & Deadlines page.
Q. May I bring a guest?
A. Conference attendance is limited to SunGard Higher Education customers, employees, Collaborative members, and guests invited by SunGard Higher Education. You may, however, invite a guest to attend the Tuesday evening event. You must register your guest(s) and purchase their event tickets prior to the conference. Guest registration will be available online on or around February 1, 2010. Just go to the Add a Guest page under Registration. All guests must be registered in advance. No on-site registration will be available.
Q. What are the hotel rates at the conference hotels?
A. Hotel rates range from $170 per night to $279 per night. More detailed information can be found on the Hotel & Travel page.
Q. Where will sessions be held?
A. Conference activities and sessions will be held at the Moscone Convention Center.
Q. Will there be shuttle service among conference hotels and the Moscone Convention Center?
A. Not all hotels will have shuttle service. Please see the Hotel Information page of the website for specific shuttle information on each official hotel being used.
Q. What is the dress code for the conference?
A. The conference is business casual. If you are attending the social event, casual attire is appropriate.
Q. If I attend a session eligible for CPE credits, where do I get the paperwork?
A. CPE credit form(s) will be available for download and printing on the SunGard Summit website prior to the conference and can be picked up at the registration desk on-site. Forms need to be signed by both you and the session leader.
Q. Is SunGard Higher Education providing sponsored (free) WiFi access in the Moscone Center?
A. Yes, WiFi access will be available in most public areas, such as lounges, registration area, etc...and at times, (unintentional) bleeding could occur in some of the meeting rooms. As in previous years, to differentiate our service, an SSID (Summit) will be advertised as our (public) wireless service for our attendees.
